Product Review - HP C3909A Toner Cartridge Vs HP 8000 Toner Refill Kit

It is typical to associate quality with the product's pricing. True enough, we get the best value for our money with products that are above mid-range in terms of price. Take for example the monochrome laser printer HP Laser Jet 8000. With the unit retailing for over $1500, reviews have so far been confined to commendations for its resolution potential of 1200 dpi (dots per inch), speed of 24 ppm (pages per minute) and duty cycle of 15,000 pages per month. Impressive indeed! But users producing heavy volume printouts each month won't rejoice in the fact that the printer's C3909A toner cartridge retails for over $200 per unit. Just imagine how much it would cost the user in the long run if he replaces the toner cartridge twice or thrice in a given month.

Nonetheless, users would be delighted to know that a cost-effective alternative to frequent cartridge replacement is available. Instead of purchasing a new toner cartridge each time the Toner Out message is prompted, users can instead refill the cartridge's toner chamber with fresh new toner powder using the HP Laser Jet 8000 toner refill kit. An empty toner cartridge can be refilled for up to 3 times until print quality will begin to deteriorate.

If you're not yet convinced of the toner refill product's performance, find below a brief comparative review of the C3909A toner cartridge and the OEM toner, up against the HP Laser Jet 8000 toner refill kit.

Compatibility. The OEM C3909A toner cartridge is compatible for use with HP LaserJet 5si/MX and Laser Jet 8000 printer series. Similarly, the HP Laser Jet 8000 toner refill kit comes with high grade toner powder that is designed to replenish the C3909A toner cartridge used by HP printers of the same series mentioned.

Yield Performance. If the OEM toner can produce 15,000 pages a month so can the refill toner. In fact, the toner refill kit is supplied with toner bottle that is filled with the same gram load of toner as the OEM cartridge. This way, users get to print the same number of pages for every gram load of refill toner.

Print Quality. It's true that the C3909A toner cartridge can produce page after page of crisp and professional-looking monochrome prints. But it would be incorrect to assume that the more affordable HP 8000 refill toner won't be able to achieve the same level of print quality. Just like its OEM counterpart, the refill toner is micro-fine and has been manufactured following the specifications of the OEM toner in terms of particle size and composition.

Cost. Unlike the over $200 price tag of the retail cartridge, the HP 8000 toner refill kit only costs over $35. That's over 80% savings from the price of a brand new, replacement toner cartridge.

Best of all, the HP toner refill kit user not only gets supplied with an easy to comprehend instructional material but is also provided with reliable customer service over the phone that they can access for after sales inquiries and other troubleshooting concerns.

Epson printer ink comes in two colors, or rather two kinds. One is the black while the second is for all other colors. It is essential that the black cartridge have atleast a little bit of ink in it or else the color cartridge will not work. Depending on your printer model, you will have to buy an Epson printer ink cartridge from any Epson service center or computer store. Once you have purchased it, all you need to do is take the cartridge out of the box and place it in the holder in the printer. Canon Pixma MP250 Cartridge Review

Pictures with the Canon PIXMA MP250 Photo All-In-One model never dazzle the eye, but as an entry grade option for home printing, copying and scanning, it will suffice. If you're just starting out with a home photo printer the PIXMA MP250 provides you with the benefit of the Auto Photo Fix II capabilities from the bundled Easy PhotoPrint EX computer software for simple touchups along with corrections to your old photographs.

Supported paper varieties regarding borderless picture printing encompass Photo Paper Pro Platinum, Photo Paper Pro II and Photo Paper Plus Glossy II. Print resolutions vary depending on output, with 600 x 600 dpi obtainable in black and 4800 x 1200 dpi in colour. The copy rate is appropriate for a home operator going at close to 39 seconds in full-blown colour and will handle up to 99 pages at the same time.

The maximum DPI resolution of the scanner is 600 x 1200 DPI, which is really a bit on the low end of current scanning capability. PICT Bridge is offered providing you currently have a cable which allows you to print straight from your external digicam. Regrettably the MP250 is lacking in separate Ink cartridges, just having a black plus a colour tank. This will cause some trouble when you may just exhaust one particular colour immediately after doing numerous prints, which means replacement of the entire cartridge each and every time could possibly be pricey. Common USB 2. connection is used to connect the machine to your Computer or MAC.

The MP250 is only available in the standard grey/black finish as well as there's no Liquid crystal display readout on the device. As an important part of Canon's generation green product initiative the MP250 provides a number of additional benefits which could help tip the scales in its favour. To begin with, its energy star conformity SAS well as 4in1 and 2in1 print options signify the device is much kinder on the environment all together. Additionally, the MP250 is RoHS compliant, the European standard for confirmation that the device is free of all dangerous materials that may ruin the environment after the device has been tossed aside.

With the helpful entry level printer choices available, the Canon PIXMA MP250 isn't competent to rise above all of them, but it will provide you with the fundamental features you'll need. In case you are cautious about making sure your printer protects the environment and are able to commit a little more swapping the entire colour ink cartridge every time, the MP250 is rather reasonable value.
