Photo Quality Printers: A Review of the HP Photosmart Plus B210a Wireless E-All-In-One Printer

It's hard to determine the genuine photo quality printers available in the market, but you have to try them to find out. To my extreme luck, I got the HP Photosmart Plus B210a Wireless e-All-in-One printer which is a fantastic photo printing device, and for a very low price, even. So I wrote this review because you might be interested in the device.

Design

This device is an all-in-one printer but it's a photo printer at heart. But for its multifunctional features, it's quite compact. It has the dimensions of 17.8'' x 15.79'' x 7.83'' and a weight of 16.4 pounds, easy to carry and settle on any shelf, tabletop, desktop, or computer table. It's wireless-enabled so you won't have to worry about where you'll put it. You can keep it in the family room and still print from your computer in the other room. You can basically access all computers as long as they are within the same network and the maximum router coverage as your printer.

The printer has a 3.45'' CGD touch screen with TouchSmart control panel for easy navigation and access with your photos and documents even without the use of a computer. It also has several removable storage device slots for flexible data sources. The black finish of the printer is aesthetically valuable and it keeps your device looking good even after several years of use.

Printing and Other Functions

As a printer, it can produce black documents in as fast as 32 pages per minute and colored documents in as fast as 30 pages per minute. The black print resolution can reach up to 600x600 dpi, but the colored resolution is very high with 9600x2400 dpi optimized images. The printing speed and quality is very excellent, but it doesn't have an automatic duplex printing features and it doesn't have a manual driver either. This makes the device unfit for mass back-to-back printing.

If you compare it with other photo quality printers, this model is in the competition. It can print borderless portrait photos up to size 8.5'' x 11'' papers, and you can print with ease using the memory card slots. With the highest optimal color resolution of 9600x2400 dpi, you'll definitely get the most beautiful, most color-rich, and most detailed pictures which look as professional as photographs developed in a studio.

The copier has the same speed of producing copies as that of the printer, and you can even reduce or enlarge your documents from 25% to 400%. The maximum number of copies which you can produce in one setting is 50 copies.

The scanner is a flatbed which can read documents up to a maximum size of 8.5'' x 11.7''. It can read the documents in optical or enhanced methods, with both producing resolutions of 1200 dpi, a lesser resolution number for an enhanced scanner, but pretty good for the optical one.

Other Features

You can print, copy, and scan with this device without having to turn on your computer. The wireless connectivity of the printer also adds a lot of functionality because you can share it with several other computers. I especially need this because my family has a computer in each room, and getting an individual printer for us all is a very impractical idea. The best feature that really made me buy this is its Energy Star qualification which ensures that not only I benefit from using it, but Mother Nature as well.

Conclusion

I am completely satisfied with this device, and I can say that I have no plans of trading it for any other model. Other photo quality printers may be good too, but the HP Photosmart Plus B210a Wireless e-All-in-One Printer has everything that I need. For me, this is a highly recommendable device and I can only advice you to get it if you have any plans of buying an all-in-one or photo printer.
